Description
History in Practice/Histoire en T锚te (HiP/HeT) is an open access consumer/survivor-informed mental health resource for teaching, learning, and knowledge sharing for future health practitioners and humanities and social science students. This project uniquely positions 91亚色 as a leader and innovator that builds on 91亚色鈥檚 reputation for engaged scholarship and pedagogical innovation. In a pilot study, we integrated HiP/HeT into 7 91亚色 courses, and preliminary evaluation responses show rich qualitative data. Using these results, the team identified the following goals, to be achieved over the next 2 years:
- Diversify HiP/HeT content to illustrate how social and structural determinants of mental health are shaped by age, racialization, culture, and community by including children and youth who have received psychiatric services, Indigenous youth, LGBTQ youth, and racialized youth in creating new teaching materials; and
- Enhance user experience by implementing new site navigational aids and updating historical multimedia.
