In the category of book, Gene Desfor and Jennefer Laidley (Faculty of Environmental Studies) received Honorable Mention for their 2011 publication .

聽聽聽聽聽 "This book draws on insights from a variety of academic disciplines to explore the past and present of Toronto's waterfront. Fifteen contributors interpret the ways environmental, economic and political processes have combined to shape the city's waterfront. By analyzing the dramatic transformation of the waterfront during the past one hundred and fifty years, this book also offers insight into the complexity of city building."

In the category for media, Kat Cizek (NFB) received an Award of Merit for her interactive website and documentary, .

聽聽聽聽 "An interactive website and short documentary, Highrise鈥揙ne Millionth Tower invites visitors to explore how participatory urban design can transform spaces, places and minds. Please join CITY in congratulating Gene, Jennefer and Kat for their outstanding work.
