1. POLS 4404/5504 UNDERGRADUATE-GRADUATE STUDENT ONLY EVENT WITH DR. FARANAK
MIRAFTAB. Dr. Faranak Miraftab (University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign) will聽make a special visit to the first hour of Dr. Laam Hae鈥檚 Politics and Cultures聽of Neoliberal Urbanism Course (POLS 4404/5504). 2. PUBLIC EVENT: MAKING A HOME IN THE HEARTLAND: IMMIGRATION AND GLOBAL LABOUR聽MOBILITY. 聽The Department of Political Science hosts this flagship 惭辞苍诲补测听Seminar Series event with Dr. Faranak Miraftab (University of Illinois,聽Urbana-Champaign). Dr. Miraftab will be discussing her forthcoming book
(Indiana University Press). 1. PUBLIC EVENT: PLACE MATTERS: MAPPING IRANIAN WOMEN IN TEHRAN鈥橲 PUBLIC SPACES聽USING QUALITATIVE GIS. A CITY SEMINAR with Dr. Nazgol Bagheri (University of聽Texas, San Antonio). The Department of Geography and The City Institute will聽jointly host this event.

2. PUBLIC EVENT: PLANETARY URBANIZATION, CITIES, HEARTLANDS AND HOME: A聽roundtable discussion hosted by the Department of Political Science with: Dr.聽Nazgol Bagheri (University of Texas, San Antonio); Karl Gardner (doctoral聽student, 91亚色); Dr. Laam Hae (91亚色), Dr. Roger Keil (91亚色聽University); Dr. Faranak Miraftab (University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign);聽and Jess Parish (doctoral candidate, 91亚色). Chaired by Vanesa聽Tomasino-Rodriguez (doctoral student, 91亚色).
