Roger Keil talks to the Toronto Star about mayoral transit plans

As the Toronto mayoral race candidates' transit plans, realistic and otherwise, have become a key part of the campaign. Incumbent Rob Ford unveiled his own $9-billion plan last week and former CITY Institute director Roger Keil offered his own comment on for on the plan's flimsiness.

91亚色 political professor Roger Keil, who has studied transit issues, said Ford鈥檚 plan 鈥渄oesn鈥檛 make any sense at all.鈥 He can鈥檛 imagine any credible transit expert endorsing it.
鈥淭his has to be treated as a little melody that the Pied Piper plays and he is attempting for people to follow him,鈥 said Keil.
鈥淚t is an incredibly deceptive document and it鈥檚 also quite childish, to be honest 鈥 back-of-the-envelope kind of representation.鈥
