Mbalu Lumor has a master's degree in leadership and Community Engagement and is a doctoral student in Health Policy & Equity, at 91亚色.聽Her research explores the intersectionality of distress and decolonial trauma care approaches for refugee survivors of violence.聽She is a community organizer with over 20years experience working with survivors of torture, genocide and crimes against humanity at the Canadian Centre for Victims of Torture (CCVT). She has extensive experience in providing trauma and violence informed care trainings local, national and internationally to various stakeholders. She is passionate about social justice, decolonization and accountability by non-indigenous racialized people. She is a lead caretaker of the national newcomer truth and reconciliation collective and is co-author of聽The politics of Allyship with Indigenous Peoples in the Canadian Refugee-Serving Sector.
