Canada now has its first dedicated Digital Wellbeing Hub—a national pilot platform offering accessible tools and research for young people, educators, researchers, parents, policymakers, and anyone committed to digital wellbeing.

Anchored in UNICEF Canada’s Index for Youth and Child Wellbeing, the Hub explores the impact of digital technologies across nine wellbeing dimensions. It features open-access research snapshots, curated resource lists (including a free youth and planetary wellbeing card deck), interactive surveys, and video clips of young people from across the country reflecting on their digital experiences.

Developed over 2024–2025 by the Young Lives Research Lab, with funding from Heritage CanadaÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýSSHRC, the Hub was created in collaboration with the Students Commission of CanadaÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýUNICEF Canada, and strongly shaped by a national Youth Advisory Committee. The project was led by Dahdaleh Institute members Dr. Kate Tilleczek, Dr. Jim Stinson, Deborah MacDonald, and Dr. Roxanne Cohen.
