
Delal Hagos is a senior global health student specializing in eHealth. She is joining the Safe Water Optimization Tool (SWOT) research team. She will assist the team with conducting literature reviews on pathogen presences and concentrations across different water mediums to build a database for waterborne pathogen concentrations and perform statistical analyses.
Delal has championed initiatives aimed at fostering youth involvement in civics through art by bridging gaps and sparking conversions as a program coordinator with BAM- Books, Art and Music Ontario鈥檚 first youth-led collective. She also worked on a scoping review of mobile health applications targeting dementia as a research assistant with the PrescribingVr lab at Openlab UHN. Delal has actively contributed to "Promising Practices in Accessing Virtual Mental Health: Supporting Refugees during COVID-19," showing her commitment to mental health advocacy and research as part of a youth advisory committee.
Delal has a strong commitment to improving health and well-being through achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030. Her studies and work have focused on different topics such as health policy, systems, public health surveillance and population health.
