Phillipina Schandorf is a public health researcher and teacher with the Ministry of Health in Ghana. She holds a first degree in Biological Sciences and a master鈥檚 degree in public health, both from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana. Her career path has involved working as part of research teams committed to strengthening health systems by producing evidence to support the implementation of effective health policies. One of such initiatives is the home-based care programme for the management of fevers in children for the Malaria control programme in Ghana. She has also been involved in the training of District Health Research Teams and student nurses and midwives in the conduct of operational research.

She is extremely passionate about the planning and implementation of strategies that facilitate improved health, especially for vulnerable groups such as women and children, leading to improved global health. It is this passion which drives her PhD research on the impact of climate stressors on mental health at the Biological, Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Department of the School of Public Health, University of Ghana.

Chelsea Williams Cleary is a PhD candidate in Global Health at 91亚色, where her research focuses on child health and climate change. She holds a BSc in Nursing from Western University and an MPH from the University of Waterloo.

Her professional background includes work as a Registered Nurse, public health supervisor, and, since 2023, she has served as the Program Manager of the Planetary Child Health working group at the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health (Germany), a role she continues to hold remotely. In this capacity, she investigates the intersections of perinatal, child, and adolescent health with climate impacts. She is passionate about participatory approaches in research and strives to ensure children鈥檚 voices and perspectives are central in climate and health policy. Her research also includes studying community health workers in Kenya and their experiences with heat stress, as well as contributing to health policy analysis of National Adaptation Plans. These projects reflect her broader interest in how health systems can respond to the complex challenges of climate change and how health policy can be leveraged to reduce inequities and protect vulnerable populations.

Dr. Chiara Camponeschi is a Community Fellow at the Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health Research. She holds a PhD in Geography from the University of Guelph, where she was a Pierre Elliott Trudeau Scholar, and recently completed a Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Dahdaleh Institute, working under the Supervisor of DI Director Dr. James Orbinski. As an interdisciplinary researcher, her work is situated at the intersections of climate action, community engagement and planetary health. In particular, her research investigates how the principles of wellbeing, solidarity, and care can provide a blueprint for advancing 'integrative resilience' in ways that are more equitable, inclusive, and just. Her latest work investigates the co-design of 'infrastructures of care' as a pathway for stimulating responsive solutions to the polycrisis.

Dr. Camponeschi is also the founder of Enabling City, an international organization devoted to stimulating new imaginaries for transformative social change. She is the author of two popular publications, Enabling City Volumes 1 and 2, that are available in 5 languages, and has spoken at events such as the White House GreenGov Symposium in Washington, D.C., the ICLEI Resilience Cities conference in Germany, the Federation of Canadian Municipalities' Sustainable Communities conference, as well as the inaugural South by Southwest Eco conference in Austin, Texas.

Previously, Chiara was a Banting Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Environmental Health with the Dahdaleh Institute.

Annette Dubreuil has 20 years of experience dedicated to communicating and supporting sustainability and climate change research projects, including as communications director at Canada鈥檚 Ecofiscal Commission, Coordinator of IRIS: the Institute for Research and Innovation in Sustainability at 91亚色, and Project Manager, BioCAM4 consortium. She has supported a number of environmental not-for-profit organizations as a consultant.

Annette is passionate about embodied wisdom and emergence, and uses intuitive knowing to support her facilitation and teaching work, which includes teaching Focusing (including a two-year training program for Focusing Teachers), and facilitating using Open Space Technology (Forums, unconferences), Theory U/Social Presencing Theatre and other tools that support self-organizing and creativity.

Annette loves helping people who want to transform themselves to change the world鈥攖o make it more sustainable and equitable. She has a special interest in climate change, and hosts Climate Circles for holding climate emotions to enable authentic climate action.

She has an undergraduate degree in environmental science from the University of Waterloo and a MBA in sustainability from the Schulich School of Business.

Theryn Arnold is a PhD student in Geography at 91亚色. He holds a BA (Hons) in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Windsor and an MA in Labour Studies from McMaster University. Under Prof. Raju Das, his doctoral research seeks to investigate the impact(s) of 鈥榞reen capitalism鈥, in particular the effects of state policy with regard to climate change mitigation and workers health.

His previous work has focused on the impact of economic policy on the disability sector in Ontario, Canada; specifically, how neoliberal policies have affected workers in sheltered employment. His work positions sheltered employment as 鈥渧alue-producing鈥 spaces involved in the (re)production of social capital.

Sarah Merghani is currently pursuing an Honours BSc in Global Health at 91亚色, specializing in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, along with a general certificate in Refugee and Migration Studies.

She serves as both Lab Coordinator and Research Assistant at the Wellness Impact Lab, under the mentorship of Dr. Harvey Skinner and Susan Harris. Her work includes facilitating Climate Caf茅s, assisting with program evaluations and manuscript preparation, and supporting knowledge synthesis. She also develops outreach materials and manages digital communications through content creation and social media. Currently, she is contributing to a scoping review on arts-based interventions for climate emotions.

Sarah is also a Research Assistant at the Global & Environmental Health Lab, mentored by Dr. Godfred Boateng. Her current research explores the health impacts of rising temperatures on older adults in Canada, with a focus on climate change, aging, and health equity.

With a long-term goal of supporting vulnerable populations through medicine and public health, Sarah is passionate about translating research into practical action and is deeply committed to advancing health equity, humanitarianism, and community-based approaches in global health.
