Jesse Sam is a graduate student in the Master of Arts in Health Policy program at 91ÑÇÉ«, focusing on health equity, autism care, and the experiences of marginalized caregivers. Jesse’s current research explores the challenges faced by immigrant and racialized caregivers of children on the autism spectrum, with an emphasis on improving policy and care systems. Under the supervision of Dr. Farah Ahmad, a Research Fellow at the Dahdaleh Institute, Jesse leads a photovoice project that seeks to amplify the voices of caregivers and inform better healthcare practices and policies. Through this project, Jesse collaborates with various members of the Dahdaleh Institute to advance global health research that promotes inclusivity and equity for underserved communities.
