The Business Administration in Technology Leadership curriculum includes 52.5 credits of core courses designed to equip students with a common set of capabilities necessary for effective management in the tech sectors.

In term 3 (full-time) or term 6 (part-time), students can choose between the Venture Studio project or a Technology Consulting project. In the Venture Studio students learn leading product design, management strategies and frameworks for high-growth potential technology firms. Students explore how those strategies and frameworks connect directly to the investments placed by Venture Investors seeking to scale tech firms. The Technology Consulting Project enables students to apply their knowledge and methodologies in a real-world consulting environment. Working in teams, students collaborate with an organization (鈥渃lient site鈥) to analyze a technology-related challenge, develop strategic recommendations, and deliver actionable insights. The course culminates in a final report and presentation to a panel of experts, including the course director, as well as to the client organization.

Term 4 (full-time) or term 8 (part-time) includes a Mandatory Graduate Placement. Through the placement experience, students will build upon, practice and reflect on key learnings and build relevant experience for their career post-graduation. A minimum of 12 weeks of full-time work is required to complete this graduate placement. Part-time students may fulfill this requirement within their current role or use it as a chance to explore a new employer or industry.

Students are eligible for graduation upon their successful completion of 52.5 credits.

Degree Requirements

The program will require students to complete 52.5 credits over four terms of full-time study. The curriculum comprises 22 courses that range in credit value from 1.5 to 6.0. Term 1 = 12 credits; Term 2 = 12 credits; Term 3 = 13.5 credits; and Term 4 = 15 credits 鈥 for a total of 52.5 credits. The first half of the program includes core MBA fundamentals with technical knowledge integration.

The program outcomes will be achieved via a course-based and primarily in-person delivery format. The nature of the coursework varies, depending on the expected learning outcomes for each course. In-person lectures and learning activities will be complemented with synchronous and asynchronous virtual learning opportunities embedded within each course (e.g., live and/or recorded interactive lectures in the flipped classroom format, along with other learning activities that help develop an understanding of course concepts as well as promote teamwork and collaboration). Other learning activities include case analysis and discussion, teamwork exercises, guest speaker presentations, simulations, and outreach to external organizations.

Designed with flexibility in mind, the program offers both full-time and part-time pathways. Carefully synchronized course schedule ensures integration of both cohorts, creating a dynamic and comprehensive learning environment.

The program makes an explicit commitment to experiential learning. This includes a commitment to devoting 30% of total time to experiential learning initiatives in each course, the development of sustained relationships with practitioners in the classroom, a mandatory workplace internship, and a project designed to add value to real-world clients involving the creation and implementation of a technological solution to a business problem.
