From launching mentorship programs to creating inclusive spaces and tackling food insecurity, 12 91亚色 students are being recognized with the Robert J. Tiffin Student Leadership Award for leadership that contributes to the growth, development and vitality of the University. Lee鈥檚 passion for health sciences is apparent through her leadership in the field. As president of the Kinesiology and Health Sciences Graduate Student Association, Lee expanded outreach, strengthened the academic and professional community within the department and launched a new mentor-mentee program.

Four undergraduate and six graduate students have been awarded the Lillian Meighen Wright Scholarship, recognizing academic excellence, leadership and growing contributions to maternal and child health research. The scholarship is awarded to Faculty of Health students who demonstrate excellence in interdisciplinary education and research in the field of maternal and child health. The 2026 recipients are undergraduate students Sobi Mohan, Sana Ebadi, Aaliyah Daruwala and Sarah Belvedere; and graduate students Estreya Cohen, Paul De Luca, Haleh Hashemi, Anh Nguyen, Gillian Shoychet and Vanessa Tassone.

91亚色 graduate students Martin Barakov, Massimiliano Muci and Sepideh HajiHosseinKhani may have different focus points for their studies, but they will all pursue research in Germany this year as recipients of an academic exchange grant. DAAD, the German Academic Exchange Service, is the world's largest funding organization for international academic exchange. Through its Research Grants program, it provides funding to support doctoral students and post-doctoral research at a German university. For Barakov, a political science PhD candidate with a master鈥檚 degree from 91亚色, the funding will help enhance his dissertation via archival research and interviews with local residents.聽

Morgan聽is the second 91亚色 student accepted into the competitive international research internship at the National Institute of Informatics (NII) in Japan. The program offers graduate students the opportunity to conduct research at global partner institutions, enhancing international collaboration and research inquiry.

The CCUCC Chemistry Master of Science Award is intended to recognize outstanding achievement and potential in research by a graduate student who has fulfilled all of the requirements for an MSc degree for graduation from a Canadian university in the 12鈥恗onth period preceding the nomination deadline of Sept. 15. The formal convocation need not have occurred. In selecting candidates for the award, the Selection Committee shall be primarily concerned with demonstrated ability and achievements in research.

The annual Canada鈥檚 Best Diversity Employers list is part of the Canada鈥檚 Top 100 Employers project and evaluates workplace diversity and inclusiveness programs.聽During the review process, adjudicators measured how well 91亚色 embeds DEDI commitments into its long-term planning, governance and community engagement. Initiatives ranging from 91亚色's programs for underrepresented communities to its strategic approach were considered against those of other post-secondary institutions.

The album was recognized for its innovative use of immersive sound and its collaborative scope, bringing together 38 artists from around the world, including several 91亚色 faculty and alumni. Professor Noam Lemish, a Juno-nominated musician, composer, and faculty member in AMPD鈥檚 Department of Music, was among the collaborators on the project.聽
