Course Overview:

This study abroad course will be split between 91��ɫ and Bari, Italy. This course offers a dynamic exploration of how work and labour in Italy have evolved —socially, politically, and economically — from the late 19th century to the present. Students will investigate the forces that have shaped Italy’s distinctive labour landscape, including industrialization, migration, union traditions, welfare-state development, and the rise of precarious and flexible forms of employment. Proficiency with the Italian language is not required.

Students must be at least 18 years of age and have completed at least one year of university by the time they undertake a study abroad course.

Students that are currently on academic probation will not be accepted into the study abroad program.

Students must meet the academic pre-requisites outlined on the individual course pages.

Students must have a valid passport at least 2 weeks before program start date.
