Alison Gadsby is a first-generation Canadian currently in Tkaronto living in a multigenerational home that includes several dogs. Short fiction appears in The Ex-Puritan, Blank Spaces, The TƐmz Review, Blue Lake Review, and in a collection of stories, Breathing is How Some People Stay Alive (Guernica Editions). Her debut novel, Dreams of the Weary, will be published in 2028 (Palimpsest Press). Alison holds an MFA from the UBC, a degree in English Literature & Creative Writing from 91��ɫ, and is the founder/host of Junction Reads, a reading series, and is co-host on HOWL, a literary radio show on CIUT.

I never thought I'd have the chance to go to school and complete an undergraduate degree, never mind while I was raising three young kids. Being immersed in literature and talking about writing, literature and the humanities on such a deep level, changed my perspective in so many ways. Winning the bp nichol award for graduating student, gave me the confidence to apply to an MFA program, which I successfully completed two years later.
