Company Bio:

I’m a Toronto-based illustrator and content creator who runs a vibrant, artist-led brand rooted in joy, storytelling, and community. My work spans brand collaborations, public art, and product design, with clients including Sephora, Scotiabank, and HGTV. I also create engaging social media content that blends lifestyle, illustration, and education to connect with audiences. My small business is growing rapidly, and I’m seeking passionate students to help with marketing, brand research, content creation, and public relations efforts that will expand visibility and impact while offering real-world experience in creative entrepreneurship and media strategy.

Job Description:

Join a vibrant, artist-led illustration and content studio for a hands-on internship that blends digital marketing, PR, and creative strategy. You’ll support the Founder & Creative Director across a range of brand-building initiatives, gaining real-world experience in creative entrepreneurship.

Responsibilities:

-Content Strategy Research: Review and analyze past content series (e.g. “12 Lessons of a Full-Time Freelance Illustrator”) to help develop a refreshed, high-impact social media or video series.

-Social & PR Analytics: Track engagement across platforms, identify top-performing content, and research industry trends to inform strategy.

-Public Relations & Outreach: Assist in researching and contacting potential press outlets, brand partners, and collaborators; help update press materials and media kits.

-Digital Content Support: Contribute ideas for Reels, TikToks, and newsletters; assist in drafting captions, scripts, and outlines.

-Campaign Planning: Support small-scale campaign launches and creative projects, from research and coordination to digital promotion.

Qualifications:

-Strong writing skills, with an eye for crafting engaging captions, newsletter blurbs, and brand-friendly outreach emails -Knowledge of social media platforms (especially Instagram and TikTok), including trends, algorithm basics, and content strategy

-Research-savvy: comfortable finding press opportunities, podcast leads, influencer contacts, and brand alignment opportunities

-Interest in PR, branding, and/or marketing for creative entrepreneurs or artists

-Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage tasks independently with light guidance

-An overall creative person

Additional Assets:

-Interest in artist-led brands, product-based businesses, or media-driven storytelling

-A proactive mindset—someone who enjoys bringing fresh, creative ideas to the table and isn’t afraid to share them

-Eagerness to learn, grow, and take ownership of their role

-Familiarity with tools like Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, or similar content creation platforms
