Director of the Policy Planning and Special Programs Department in the Planning and Infrastructure Development Portfolio, City of Vaughan 

Christina Bruce is currently the Director of the Policy Planning and Special Programs Department in the Planning and Infrastructure Development Portfolio at the City of Vaughan. She is a registered Professional Planner and member of the Ontario Professional Planning Institute. Her current role includes leading the policy planning and sustainability team and a collection of capital works, development projects and strategic initiatives that together shape the form, identity and experience of the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre as the identified new Downtown for the City of Vaughan while contributing overall to shaping the City of Vaughan as a safe, resilient and well-planned City.
She is an innovative and energetic strategy development professional with almost 30 years of experience planning, implementing, managing and leading strategic planning and community-based projects for municipalities and organizations across Canada. She has worked closely with Mayors and Council, all levels of Staff, stakeholders, Indigenous Communities and the community-at-large to develop and create community visions, goals, objectives, actions, implementation strategies and key performance indicators.
