Darryl Bautista

Darryl returns to VCP as an alumnus (1991-1996). He performed as well as supported with costumes, hair and makeup and for one show, he created puppets. His final show, Life and Death and Other Comedies, developed from months of improvisational play-making; he bonded with the cast who became lifelong friends. For this show, he received the VCP Gold Frog Award.
After graduating, he founded the sketch comedy duo 2ToGo! with Laura Earl Middleton (VCP alumna 1992-1996). 2ToGo! performed across Canada, as well as in the Melbourne Fringe Festival and the Edinburgh聽Fringe.聽With his 91亚色U BA/BEd degrees, Darryl taught in Canada and South Korea for K-12 students. After earning his PhD in Education (2005), he began teaching post-secondary students. Currently, he is an administrator for Seneca Polytechnic.
Proud to be part of the VCP legacy and amazed at its evolution, Darryl anticipates a fantastic voyage with all the artists who collectively build show after show for the 91亚色U community and beyond.
