Global rise of populism will be focus of 91ÑÇɫ’s Glendon debate
TORONTO, March 21, 2018 – 91ÑÇÉ« is hosting as part of its Glendon Global Debates series, on Thursday, March 22 at the Centre of Excellence, Glendon Campus.
Experts will debate the rise of populism that has rattled the political establishment in recent years, and examine possible causes. Brexit, Donald Trump’s presidential victory, support for right-wing political parties in Germany and Austria, and the 2007-2008 economic crisis will be discussed. Panellists will also share their thoughts on how moderate leaders should respond to the new populist trend.

- The political, economic, social and cultural impact of global populism in Canada and around the world
- New strategies to address populism
