Announcing the Winner of Canada's IP Writing Challenge 2014

IP Osgoode and the (IPIC) are thrilled to announce the winner of the sixth annual edition of :

1. In the Law Student category, the judges selected Julia Johnson as the winnerÌýfor this year’s Challenge:

Julia won for her entry: "". Julia Johnson is a recent graduate of the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law.

2. In the Graduate Student category, the judges did not select a winner for this year’s Challenge.

3. In the Professional category, the judges did not select a winner for this year’s Challenge.

We were pleased to receive submissions from across the country on a wide range of subjects, including: moral rights, fair dealing, trade-marks, technological neutrality, IP rights in databases, sufficiency of disclosure, doctrine of sound prediction, copyright reform, and internet intermediary liability.

Julia will be receiving a prize of $1000 and, in addition to havingÌýher winningÌýarticle showcased here on the IPilogue, the article will be considered for publication in the Canadian Intellectual Property Review (CIPR)Ìýor the Intellectual Property Journal (IPJ).
