IP Osgoode and the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) are proud to present "Sparking Innovation With Students: Examining the Student Role from Invention to Commercialization", a full day conference highlighting the role that students play in commercializing intellectual property. Student researchers, whether in a university lab or R&D department of an organization, contribute to the development of a research project and are often the innovative force behind a project. The purpose of the conference is to learn from different perspectives on the role of student researchers in commercializing IP and the different policies that have been adopted to provide for the various parties' interests with respect to that IP.

The conference will be comprised of interactive panel sessions to foster discussion. There will be two panels consisting of members from government, industry and universities who will discuss their perspectives on the role of students in commercializing IP and a third panel consisting of student researchers discussing their own experiences in the commercialization process.

During the break and lunch hour there will be display tables for student researchers to showcase their research projects.  If you would like to display your research poster at the event, please email Michelle Li at iposgoode@osgoode.yorku.ca
