Founded in 1986, Community Family Services of Ontario (CFSO) is a registered charity and accredited social services agency. Funded by Canadian federal, provincial, and municipal governments, United Way GTA, and the community, CFSO aims to improve the overall psychosocial well-being of Asian-Canadians by empowering them to build safe communities with harmonious families. CFSO’s team of psychotherapists, social workers, addiction specialists, family therapists, speech-language pathologists, career counsellors, job skill instructors, and settlement counsellors provide counselling, psychotherapy, family therapy, addictive behavior modification, newcomer support, career coaching, skill building, disabilities and special needs rehabilitation to over 5,000 individuals per year.

We enable psychosocial well-being by providing trauma-informed, family-centered, and culturally and linguistically responsive family counselling, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, transition from abuse, newcomer support, employment support, language and communication skills training, and rehabilitation for emotional, communicative, and learning impairments.
We also empower vulnerable individuals and families for social and financial independence by providing and culturally and linguistically responsive employment support, career counselling, and entry-level job skill certification training including Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid AED Level C, Psychological First Aid, and Basic Life Support; ASIST Suicide Prevention Training; Public Health Food Handling Certificate and SmartServe Certification.
