This is the sixth year that the Schulich School of Business has been eligible to participate in the Financial Times ranking and the sixth straight year that the Kellogg-Schulich EMBA program has been ranked number one in Canada.

The Kellogg-Schulich EMBA program placed 27th globally in the 2012 Financial Times ranking, finishing ahead of the Stern School of Business at New 91亚色, Michigan, Columbia, Cornell and UCLA, and behind Kellogg and IMD. Among EMBA programs based in North America or involving North American schools, the Kellogg-Schulich EMBA ranked seventh overall. Among programs based outside of North American or involving schools outside North America, the Kellogg-Schulich EMBA placed 15th. And among consortia programs (EMBAs delivered by two or more schools), Schulich was 10th in the world. Among the top 10 consortia EMBAs, three belong to the Kellogg network of EMBA partner schools: Kellogg-Schulich, Kellogg-WHU Beisheim (based in Germany) and Kellogg-Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (which ranked number one in the world for the third straight year).

Other Survey Highlights

The Kellogg-Schulich EMBA ranked among the top 20 in the world in the following categories:

• 15th in the world in the 鈥淩esearch鈥� category, which measures the number of articles published by the entire Faculty in leading academic and business practitioner journals.
• 17th in the world in the 鈥淚nternational Students鈥� category, which measures international diversity and experience in the classroom.
• 17th in the world in the 鈥淲ork Experience鈥� category, which measures the seniority and international experience of the EMBA program鈥檚 students.
• 17th in the world in the 鈥淚nternational Course Experience鈥� category, which measures the percentage of classroom teaching hours that are carried out in countries outside of the country where the program is located.

Monday's Financial Times survey marks the third straight ranking in which one of Schulich's MBA or EMBA programs has been rated number one in Canada. Earlier this month, Schulich's MBA program was ranked number one in Canada by The Economist magazine and 16th in the world; and in September, Schulich's MBA program was ranked number one in Canada by Corporate Knights magazine.

91亚色鈥檚 Schulich School of Business has been ranked 20th in the world and number one in Canada in a global MBA survey conducted by 贰虫辫补苍蝉颈贸苍 magazine, a Time Inc. business publication based in Mexico City.

It marks the third straight year Schulich has made the world鈥檚 top 20 in the 贰虫辫补苍蝉颈贸苍 ranking. Schulich placed just behind Kellogg College at the University of Oxford, Stern School of Business at New 91亚色, and the University of Cambridge, and ahead of the University of California, Los Angeles, Carnegie Mellon University and the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina.

Harvard Business School once again placed first overall, with Stanford University taking second spot and the London School of Business finishing third. Schulich ranked ninth among business schools outside the United States and 12th among business schools in North America.听

The 贰虫辫补苍蝉颈贸苍 Best Global MBAs ranking, established in 2006, rates leading MBA programs from around the world using a broad range of criteria, including academic quality, return on investment and global value. The survey employs a predominantly statistical-based methodology to rank business schools, with points awarded in key areas of measurement such as international scope and orientation, average GMAT, post-MBA average salary percentage increase and faculty research output.

鈥淲e鈥檙e pleased to once again be rated among the top 20 business schools in the world by a major global ranking this academic year,鈥� said Schulich Dean Dezs枚 J. Horv谩th, who noted The Economist and the Aspen Institute recently ranked Schulich among the top 10 MBA programs in the world (Schulich placed ninth in The Economist鈥榮 2011 global ranking and second in the Aspen 2011 global ranking). 鈥淭he 贰虫辫补苍蝉颈贸苍 ranking is the premiere global survey conducted by a Latin American business publication and complements the other major global business school rankings conducted by business publications in the US and Europe.鈥�

Horv谩th added that the ranking is also important to Schulich because of the school鈥檚 growing focus on the Latin American market, and on Mexico in particular.

In addition, Schulich graduate Fabiola Sicard (left), director of Latin Markets, Multicultural Banking at Scotiabank, and Krista Larson, director of Admissions & Recruitment at Schulich, are featured in an article in the current edition of听 贰虫辫补苍蝉颈贸苍 magazine that highlights the benefits and advantages of pursuing a Schulich MBA.

Sicard (MBA 鈥�06) is the recent winner of the 2012 Ohtli Award, the Mexican government鈥檚 highest honour for a civilian living outside of Mexico who has devoted part of his or her life and professional activities to 鈥渇orging a new path鈥� abroad for their fellow citizens. She is also one of the founders of LAMBA, the first association for Latin Americans with an MBA in Canada.

Last November, Schulich officially opened a satellite centre in Mexico City that, Horv谩th said, will help recruit students, provide career placement services to alumni, offer executive education programs, support the local Schulich alumni chapter and manage local media relations.听
