In this latest Asia Research Brief, (School of Kinesiology and Health Science) examines identity formation within the North American Chinese Invitational Volleyball Tournament (NACIVT). In contrast to its origins in the exclusion of Asians from mainstream physical activity spaces, the NACIVT in recent times is regularly described by its participants, either in jest or seriously, as racist.
