Congratulations to Ali Kazimi (Cinema and Media Arts) who is the 2025 Fire Horse Award honouree. He was presented with the $25,000 award at the fourth annual Award Ceremony and Fundraiser on 26 May 2025. The Fire Horse Award was established in 2021 in honour of festival founder Anita Lee, to recognize a trailblazer and changemaker from the Asian Canadian media arts community. Kazimi聽was selected for the Fire Horse Award聽by a jury composed of Paul Wong (artist and curator, and the 2024 Fire Horse Award winner), Lalita Krishna (consultant and executive producer), and Albert Shin (filmmaker). .
