Program Description:
Canadian banks face growing pressure from fintech competitors in cross-border payments, as large immigrant and diaspora populations drive demand for faster, simpler international money transfers. Market leaders like Wise and Remitly are capturing traditional banking volume, threatening revenue and market share.
In this project-based program, students analyze the international payments landscape, assess customer needs, and identify strategic ways to make cross-border payment services stand out. Teams develop a clear value proposition and a step-by-step implementation plan, including realistic resources, timelines, and actions. By the end, students present practical recommendations that combine strategy with real-world solutions.
