P. Sainath is the founder-editor of the People鈥檚 Archive of Rural India (PARI). He has served as a journalist, reporter, rural affairs editor, and deputy chief editor of periodicals like聽The Hindu,听Blitz听补苍诲听The Daily. He has won over 60 national and international awards including the Fukuoka Grand Prize (2021), the World Media Summit Award (2014), the Ramon Magsaysay Award (2007), Amnesty International鈥檚 Global Human Rights Reporting Prize, and the Ramnath Goenka award. His book聽Everybody Loves a Good Drought聽(1996) is now in its 58th reprint.聽The Last Heroes: Foot Soldiers of Indian Freedom聽(2022) is his latest publication.
