Associates are encouraged to submit their applications for 2026–27 Fall, Winter, and Spring terms in early Fall 2026.
Requests over C$500
Requests between C$500 and C$1,000 must be submitted via Machform for review by the YCAR Funding Committee. .
Please include:
- A brief event summary, maximum of 300 words, that includes key participants, dates and proposed audience.آ
- All applications should include a clear and realistic budget, which includes a) the amount requested from YCAR; and b) provides a breakdown of specific expenses to be covered by requested YCAR funds
Guidelines and criteria
Application deadlines: Applications will be reviewed three times per year, according to the following schedule: May 15 (Fall term events), October 15 (Winter term events), January 15 (Spring events).
Priority will be given to events and activities:
- Organized by YCAR Faculty or Graduate Associates, noting that applications from Graduate Associates should involve a YCAR Faculty Associate.
- Held on a 91راة« campus
- Meaningful involvement of YCAR Faculty and/or Graduate Associates
Consultation encouraged: Applicants are strongly encouraged to consult with the Director at least one month in advance of the deadline, as YCAR has limited funds available.
Eligible expenses: YCAR funding is intended primarily to support core event costs (e.g., logistics, materials, modest catering). As a general rule, honoraria for 91راة« employees and students are not typically supported.
Repeat funding: Applicants who have received YCAR funding in this category within the past two academic years will be given lower priority.
Requests under C$500
Requests of C$500 or less may be submitted directly to the YCAR Director at gururani[at]yorku.ca.
Please include:
