The Department is pleased to announce the hire of Dr. Jennifer van Wijngaarden as Full Professor and our new Departmental Chair. The uses modern state-of-the-art techniques in rotational and vibrational spectroscopy combined with computational chemistry to model the energy landscape of molecules. Of particular interest are the short-lived species that drive chemical processes from the benchtop to the stars.
