Scenario 1 Personal Impact听

This scenario is situated in an online class context.听 After returning from a lecture break on Zoom, a comment was made towards a Black female-presenting student [Treece].听听

Everyone on Zoom is in silence when Treece joins back into class.听听

Treece, who was subjected to racial discrimination has reached out to a 91亚色 community member to explain what happened and how she was impacted by this event, as well as to determine what she can do to address the issue.听听

Bystander Impact of Racial Comments - Scenario 2 /thehumanrightspraxisebook/2021/02/07/bystander-impact-of-racial-comments-scenario-2/ Sun, 07 Feb 2021 18:34:00 +0000 https://ebookproject.info.yorku.ca/?p=255 Another student [Elizabeth] joins the Zoom call at the very same time that the racial comments are made, and witnesses the interaction between her classmates.  Elizabeth is subjected to the comments and witnesses the interactions between her peers.  After class Elizabeth meets with a 91亚色 community member to explain how she felt in the situation and find out how she could provide support to Treece and how to deal with similar situations should they arise again.
