Please share the following information with your teams.
Per our service advisory to the community (copied below), a critical Microsoft security patch was applied to central print servers on November 18th. The maintenance was necessary to address the Print Nightmare zero-day vulnerability, which puts the university at high risk against a cyber-attack.
Unfortunately, this emergency security patch has impacted printing for some community members running various versions of Windows.
If you are experiencing printing issues since November 18th, please reach out to askit@yorku.ca. Please include your best method of contact and a technician will reach out to you as soon as they can to resolve this issue.

Please share the following information with your teams.
Effective November 18th, all computers running Windows are required to be fully patched in order to be serviced by central print services.
This requirement addresses , to mitigate a vulnerability with the way the Printer Remote Procedure Call (RPC) binding handles authentication for the remote Winspool interface.
Microsoft releases critical security updates on a continuous monthly cycle. If a computer running Windows is missing critical security updates, the appropriate desktop support team will need to address and troubleshoot further.
