UNESCO Chair Newsletter June 2026

Welcome to the June 2026 edition of the 91亚色 UNESCO Chair Newsletter!

World Environment Day is on 5 June 馃實! While we continue to emphasize regularly that Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) is not limited to environmental themes but also relevant for economic and social dimensions of sustainability, World Environment Day offers an opportunity to reflect on how education can respond to today's interconnected challenges, including climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution. ESD is the central enabler of the knowledge, competencies, values, and agency needed to support more sustainable and inclusive futures.

This month's newsletter highlights collaboration across institutions, sectors, and regions. Thank you for staying connected, for your continued contributions to advancing ESD, and now beginning to think about #EducationBeyond2030 and #ESDBeyond2030.
