- Canada Pension Plan (CPP) may begin anytime between age 60 and age 70.
- Old Age Security (OAS) is a monthly benefit paid to Canadian residents who qualify and are age 65 or older. OAS is available depending on how long you have been a Canadian resident.)
- CPP and OAS applications can be submitted up to 11 months in advance, but they suggest at least six months' notice.
