The academic year is fast drawing to a close, and some of those about to graduateÌýhave beenÌýscratching their heads about what to do next. 91ÑÇÉ« came up with some answers at GradFest 2003, held this week in 91ÑÇÉ« Lanes. There was also information about graduates’ immediate future – convocation – along with photography and grad robe booths.
Sponsored by 91ÑÇɫ’s Alumni Office, GradFest set out to provide undergraduate and graduate students and recent alumni with an introduction to life after university. Through affinity partners and other collaborators, the eventÌýorganizers offered seminars on such topics as buying your first home, earning an "A" in credit-rating, tips for the international traveller, and life and health insurance 101.
In addition to holding seminars, affinity partners, associations, chapters and relevant campus services set up displays of resources available to make graduation day a success and to make the transition to the "real" world as seamless as possible.
