If you picked up a copy of the October 2003 issue of 91亚色U magazine from a campus newsrack, chances are there was a readership survey inside. And if you filled it out, you had a chance to win a Sony digital camera. So who won?
The lucky recipient of the Sony Cyber-shot is Bianca Nituda, a first-year kinesiology student in the Faculty of Pure & Applied Science. 91亚色U editor Berton Woodward drew her name from all the surveys sent in by students and alumni, answering questions about their consumer habits and about how they liked 91亚色U.

Nituda, a Scarborough resident whose family arrived in Canada from Manila, Philippines, when she was three, said she especially liked the feature in the first issue about philanthropist Seymour Schulich, 91亚色鈥檚 prime benefactor. "I was inspired to do better," she said. "I want to give back to the community, and he has given so much." She was also intrigued by an item noting that a Canadian company created the world鈥檚 first personal microcomputer, one of which is housed in the 91亚色 Computer Museum.
About those surveys: if you get your copy of 91亚色U by campus mail, you wouldn鈥檛 have seen one. The campus survey, aimed primarily at students, was contained only in newsstand copies. Another version, with slightly different questions but the same prize, went to randomly selected alumni.
