91ÑÇÉ« student Karen Cockburn, who dazzled Canadians with her silver-medal performance on the trampoline at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, will help kick off 91ÑÇÉ«fest tomorrow with a demonstration of her aerial acrobatics.
Members of the 91ÑÇÉ« community are invited to recognize Karen’s achievement and watch her perform her Olympic routine at noon on the Commons.
Cockburn, 23, who also performs with the SkyRiders trampoline team during half-time shows at major North American sporting events throughout the year, won a bronze medal at the 2000 Games in Sydney. She plans to compete in the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing.

The largest one-day campus event of the year, 91ÑÇÉ«fest features live entertainment and displays by 91ÑÇɫ’s student clubs and services. Athletes from Sport91ÑÇÉ« will also be on hand to honour Karen and the other 91ÑÇÉ« faculty and staff who attended the Games as members of the Canadian team.
