The 91راة« Fitness Centre will host two more free running and walking clinics on Tuesday, Aug. 25 and on Tuesday, Sept. 15, for all members of the 91راة« community. The clinics will offer running and walking training along with motivation for anyone interested in joining the 91راة« Foundation team as it makes its debut in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon on Sept. 27.
There will be training information and routes for all skill levels. It’s also an opportunity to meet other runners and walkers and get advice and pointers about training for the various Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront events.
The training sessions will be led by John Bruce and Stephanie Ihama from the 91راة« Fitness Centre. Bruce is a veteran of a number of endurance events and presently works in the fitness industry. Ihama has many distance runs and endurance events to her credit and has been employed as a Team In Training coach in the past. (See YFile, , for more on their adventures.)
Runners and walkers will meet outside the main entrance of the Tait McKenzie Centre on 91راة«'s Keele campus on Tuesday, Aug. 25 at 5:15pm. Show up ready to sweat!
The Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, half-marathon and five-kilometre run/walk is expected to sell out. Those interested in participating in the event should register as soon as possible.
To register, visit the Web site and indicate that you are a Charity Challenge Runner and select “91راة« Foundation” from the drop-down menu.
