The world’s No.1-ranked tennis player – Rafael Nadal – arrived in style at 91ÑÇÉ« Friday in preparation for this year’s Roger’s Cup.
The gregarious Spaniard, known as Rafa, took an express route to the Keele campus , landing in the grassy southwestern corner immediately after appearing at the CN Tower in downtown Toronto for the official draw for the event. The $3 million championship, presented by National Bank, has the tennis world buzzing about a possible showdown between Nadal and arch rival and former World No.1 Roger Federer of Switzerland. Current ATP Tour No. 2 Novak Djokovic of Serbia is also a part of the mix along with virtually every other top-ranked player in the world.
