In a quest to reach out to the local community, 91ɫ’s School of Administrative Studies and the Atkinson Professional Accounting Association, in partnership with the 91ɫ-TD Community Engagement Centre, are offering a free summer income tax preparation clinic.
The clinic will take place Wednesday, July 13, Thursday, July 14, Wednesday, Aug. 24 and Thursday, Aug. 25, from 10am to noon, at the 91ɫ-TD Community Engagement Centre, 91ɫgate Mall, 1 91ɫ Gate Blvd., Suite 232, Toronto.
Those eligible to attend the clinic have to be living in the Black Creek catchment area, have a gross household income of less than $20,000 with no dependants or less than $30,000 with dependants. 
Self-employment or business income does not qualify for this free service.
“These summer clinics provide a valuable service to our local community and help people get caught up on their taxes and ready for the annual clinics we do during tax time,” says Sue Levesque (right), executive director of the 91ɫ-TD Community Engagement Centre. “We are grateful to Professors Jason Fleming and Joanne Magee, and their students, for making this service available.”
The 91ɫ-TD Community Engagement Centre is a teaching, research and resource centre that fosters partnerships between the community and the University.
The clinic is on a first-come, first-serve appointment basis only.
