Thursday evening is shaping up to be a historic night for 91亚色. Its Faculty of Science & Engineering will host a special celebration that will see a major funding gift from a 91亚色 alumnus and聽another major donation from a member of 91亚色鈥檚 community announced at Toronto鈥檚 Casa Loma. The event will also recognize Faculty members and researchers.
The evening鈥檚 theme, 鈥淚magine What鈥檚 Next鈥, will showcase the success of the Faculty and reveal exciting new programs and initiatives for future students at 91亚色鈥檚 Faculty of Science & Engineering.
鈥淭onight is going to be very special,鈥 says Janusz Kozinski, dean of 91亚色鈥檚 Faculty of Science & Engineering and one of the event鈥檚 co-hosts.
鈥淭remendous news will be coming out of this evening that will see a major funding donation from one of 91亚色鈥檚 own alumnus, ongoing funding support from one of 91亚色鈥檚 very dear friends, and recognition of our own Faculty and research community for all the contributions they have made to our students and the 91亚色 community.鈥
Guests will also be invited to participate in a press-conference style Q&A session, discussing the impact these announcements will have on the Faculty鈥檚 future.
Nick Czernkovich, CBC TV鈥檚 meteorologist and 91亚色 alumnus, will emcee the session. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask a panel of special guests questions about the future of 91亚色鈥檚 Faculty of Science & Engineering and the new programs and initiatives being announced.
鈥淭he support for this very special evening has been overwhelming,鈥 says Kozinski. 鈥淚f someone asks me to 鈥榠magine what is next鈥 for 91亚色 and the Faculty, I know that the best is yet to come.鈥
Everyone in attendance will be asked to sign a Media Wall celebrating the evening.
