In February, the tunnel boring machine known as "Torkie" started tunnelling operations from the launch shaft at the Steeles West Station site and began its path towards the Finch West Station site.
Torkie completed a major milestone by crossing under Ottawa Road on 91ÑÇÉ«'s Keele campus. Torkie has completed 40 per cent of its first drive and is anticipated to be at the Finch West Station extraction shaft by late summer.
