91亚色 Bookstore wins Bookseller of the Year award

91亚色 Bookstore has won the 2012 Libris Campus Bookseller of the Year award, announced the Canadian Booksellers Association (CBA).

The awards recognize literary achievement, as well as behind-the-scenes contributions in the book industry, as voted by independent booksellers.

The awards ceremony which took place on聽 Sunday, June 3, singled out the best in 12 categories in headshot of Steve Glassmancelebration of the achievements of people who create, promote and deliver books to Canadian readers.

Members considered campus bookstores based on their ability to build connections and serve their community of book consumers, students and faculty, and their work as innovative retailers.

Steve Glassman, director of the bookstore, called the award encouraging. 鈥淭hese are the goals we try to achieve.鈥

The award for Campus Bookseller of the Year is given to a college or university bookstore in recognition of excellence in book retailing. It is based on superior customer service and innovation; store atmosphere; supply of required texts and complementary reading material; marketing initiative; faculty relations; and community involvement.

Queen鈥檚 University Campus Bookstore in Kingston and King鈥檚 Bookstore Co-operative in Halifax were also nominated for the award.
