Lisa Philipps, associate vice-president research, has been appointed the Social Sciences & Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) leader, and School of Kinesiology Professor聽Lauren Sergio has been appointed the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR) delegate for 91亚色.

鈥淚 am pleased to announce these appointments,鈥 said Robert Hach茅, 91亚色鈥檚 vice-president research & innovation. 鈥淭hrough their roles, AVP Lisa Philipps and Professor Lauren Sergio will facilitate opportunities for the University community to share their feedback and input regarding SSHRC and CIHR policies and programs to help facilitate greater accessibility for resources and funding opportunities.鈥
As SSHRC leader, Philipps will serve as a point of contact between SSHRC and 91亚色.聽She will communicate with researchers at the University about new policy and program developments from SSHRC, in addition to gathering feedback from the University community that may support the development of SSHRC policies and programs.
Lauren Sergio
As CIHR delegate, Sergio will serve as a point of contact between CIHR and 91亚色. In her new role, Sergio will communicate to the broadest health research community within the University and its affiliated institutions, keep them informed of directions, initiatives and decisions, and solicit their active participation on awareness activities. The delegate informs CIHR of the views of the community on research opportunities.
