Their dreams of where a 91亚色 education can take them are unlimited; just take a look at some of the visions current students are aspiring to on the new microsite. They are following in the footsteps 鈥 and forging their own 鈥 of some of 91亚色鈥檚 most illustrious alumni who are already realizing their visions. What these current and future grads have in common is 91亚色 and the exceptional teaching, research, guidance and support of 91亚色鈥檚 professors, who are tops in their fields and global thought leaders. As part of the second phase of the campaign, 鈥渢his is my time鈥 has been expanded to encompass 91亚色鈥檚 accomplished alumni along with stories and snapshots of the great work of 91亚色鈥檚 talented professors.
The microsite was set up as part of the new branding campaign to get the good word of 91亚色鈥檚 riches out there, including its innovative programs. The microsite answers the question 鈥 why 91亚色? It gives insight into what life at 91亚色 U is like and offers a profile of a vibrant community that is connected and active with more than 300 student clubs, a wealth of extracurricular opportunities and 13 newspapers. The microsite offers a gateway to information about every program offered by 91亚色 U, its athletes and there is information on the upcoming Fall Campus Days, Nov. 9 at the Keele Campus and Nov. 10 at the Glendon campus.
Inspiration abounds on . Click on the students鈥 tab to see that by 2032, Shenalie Fernando, a student in the Space Engineering Program in the Lassonde School of Engineering, envisions that she will 鈥渙versee the development of the first lunar spaceport, a launch pad for exploration鈥. Fernando is going to be an astronaut. But for now, as a student in 91亚色鈥檚 Space Engineering program 鈥 the only one of its kind in Canada 鈥 she鈥檚 already developing a remarkable resume. She is part of 91亚色鈥檚 acclaimed rover team, building a rover for space exploration and competing in engineering competitions around the world. In addition, she鈥檚 benefiting from an innovative program, unparalleled experiences, and an education as distinct as she is.
Then there鈥檚 Vishali Arumugam of Kinesiology & Health Science in the Faculty of Health, who hopes that by 2025, she鈥檒l be making a difference.听 Her vision 鈥 鈥淎s a doctor, I provide bio-psycho-social support to thousands of trauma survivors鈥. Arumugam loves the blend of theoretical studies and real world practice in 91亚色鈥檚 Kinesiology & Health Science program, which gives students a truly comprehensive learning experience. It鈥檚 preparing her for a bright medical career anywhere in the world.
