
Demeter Press is celebrating the Canadian/maternal literary writing at a multi-book launch Friday.
The feminist imprint is releasing five books: Fresh Hell: Motherhood in Pieces by Carellin Brooks; Milk Fever by Lissa M. Cowan; Lowballer by Kim Goodliffe; What We Hold In Our Hands by Kim Aubrey; and In the Academic Jungle: A Single Mother's Adventure by Aysan Sev'er.All are invited to the launch at Playful Grounds, 605 College St., Toronto, Jan. 24 Â from 7 to 10pm. Admission is pay-what-you-can and a $20 donation will include a free copy of one of the titles. Submit your RSVP to organizers as soon as possible.
