
General (retired) Walter Natynczyk, president of the Canadian Space Agency, visited 91亚色 on April 10 to learn more about research underway in 91亚色's Department of Earth & Space Science & Engineering.

Following a presentation by the Centre for Research on Earth and Space Science, Natynczyk met with 91亚色 researchers in the Department of Earth & Space Science & Engineering at the Lassonde School of Engineering and visited the Lidar Laboratory, Space Engineering Laboratory and Planetary Exploration Laboratory.聽
鈥淲e were pleased to host General Walter Natynczyk, president of the Canadian Space Agency, and other members of the Canadian Space Agency during their visit to 91亚色,鈥 said Robert Hach茅, 91亚色鈥檚 vice-president research & innovation. 鈥淭he purpose of the visit was to enable General Natynczyk to meet with researchers at 91亚色 and to highlight the depth of renowned space research taking place at the University.鈥
The visit provided an opportunity for 91亚色 to showcase research on laser remote sensing, the Phoenix Mars mission, nano-satellite development, the OSIRIS-Rex mission and other instruments for planetary exploration.
