Fourth-year Lassonde students engineer the future

Innovation and imagination filled the air May 1 as fourth-year Lassonde School of Engineering students revealed theirÌýÌýcapstone design projects. The students, who were participating in a competition marking their final year of study, were challenged to develop solutions using engineering technology to real world problems. Grouped into ten teams, the 36 students Ìýtook up the challenge this year in an intensive day of presentations, questions and judging. The event was led by Eng4000 course directorÌý.

The team of Will Lau and Marcin Matynia – both fourth year computer engineering students – took first place in the competition with their project "Operational Transformation". The duoÌýwon theÌýfirst place project prize and the best live demonstration certificate. To learn more, view the team's .
