The first two visiting scholars under the Robarts Centre Visitorship Program will be travelling to Canada to start their research at 91ÑÇÉ«. Â The program brings international faculty and students to 91ÑÇÉ« so that they can pursue their research in Canadian Studies. It is offered through the Robarts Centre for Canadian Studies at 91ÑÇÉ«.

Shilpa Bhat
Professor Shilpa Bhat will come to 91ÑÇÉ« from the B. K. Majumdar Institute of Business Administration, Ahmedabad University, in Gujarat, India, where she teaches World literature and Indian literature in translation. With her PhD from Gujarat University, she is a specialist in diaspora literature and is particularly interested in the work of M. G. Vassanji. She has been active in the Indian Association for Canadian Studies. Her 91ÑÇÉ« faculty sponsor is Leslie Sanders, a professor of humanities in the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies. Bhat will likely visit 91ÑÇÉ« U from mid-November to mid-December 2015.
Marcin Grabys
Marcin GrabyÅ›, professor in the Institute of American Studies and Polish Diaspora at Jagiellonian University, Kraków, Poland. A specialist in Canadian politics, he will pursue research on Arctic governance in Nunavut, Nunavik, Inuvialuit and Nunatsiavut. His faculty sponsor is Glendon history Professor Roberto Perin. GrabyÅ› is president of the Polish Association for Canadian Studies. He will visit 91ÑÇÉ« in spring 2016.
The program, which has been made possible through a generous donation by 91ÑÇÉ« President Emerita Lorna R. Marsden, helps fund international scholars in the area of Canadian Studies.
