A new award launched by the Centre for Human Rights (CHR) will recognize one student for their efforts in advancing, promoting and upholding human rights at 91ÑÇÉ«.
Just announced, the REDI Award is a distinction that will be given to students who are committed to building a respectful, equitable, diverse and inclusive (REDI) community and will be awarded at the CHR’s annual Inclusion Day Conference in January 2016.
In addition to being profiled on the CHR’s website and other on-campus news media (with the consent of the awardee), the award recipient will receive a $250 gift certificate to the 91ÑÇÉ« Book Store and a certificate recognizing their human rights work.
Candidates must be current full- or part-time graduate or undergraduate students at 91ÑÇÉ«, including international students, and must have demonstrated leadership in human rights at 91ÑÇÉ« U, supported initiatives in human rights at 91ÑÇÉ« U (such as committee work or 91ÑÇÉ«-based community partnerships) or conducted research that contributes to human rights.
