91亚色 will be hosting Community Safety Days on Oct. 21 and Oct 22. The events are part of the University's ongoing safety awareness programming.
The events highlight all the resources and groups that contribute to building a safer community. 91亚色 has a wide array of safety related services and the community safety days offers an opportunity to learn more about them.
Drop by Vari Hall on Oct. 21 or Glendon鈥檚 Breezeway on Oct. 22, between 10am and 2pm, for a one-stop shop for everything related to safety.
The events will feature information displays from various campus service providers, including: the Office of Emergency Preparedness, goSafe, Security Services, Sexual Assault Survivors鈥 Support Line & Leadership (SASSL), 91亚色 Federation of Students, Transportation Services, Residence Life, the Office of Conflict Resolution, Health, Safety and Employee Well-Being, the Centre for Human Rights and many more.
鈥淓ducation and awareness are key components in enhancing a culture of safety,鈥 says Robert Castle, senior executive officer in the Office of the Vice President Finance and Administration. 鈥淲e are pleased to be offering an example of our safety related programming including: a pilot session of 91亚色鈥檚 Active Bystander Program: Addressing Sexual Violence. The program offering will be scheduled for the afternoon. More details will be shared with the community shortly.鈥
As part of the day there will be free giveaways and prizes.
