Students living in 91亚色鈥檚 Pond Road Residence will make a trip to downtown Toronto on Dec. 5 as part of an effort to spread warmth to the city's聽needy.
The students will distribute 鈥淜eep Toronto Warm鈥 packages that include items such as blankets, socks, sweaters and a $5 hot beverage gift card.
鈥淲e鈥檝e collected winter woolies etc. and many have also donated money to buy these items,鈥 says Stephanie Francis, a residence life coordinator in the Centre for Student Community and Leadership Development within the Division of Students. 鈥淲e will offer a package to anyone who is in need.鈥
It costs $20 to put together a package, according to organizers, and those interested in contributing to the cause can make donations directly online or by visiting .
