The newly launched highlights how 91亚色 continues to set itself apart from other institutions of higher learning. The report examines how the University's world-renowned faculty, researchers, students, staff and alumni are redefining excellence with new and unconventional ways of thinking, and innovative methods of teaching, learning and community contribution.

The report features a number of impressive developments at 91亚色 over the past year, including the opening of the new Bergeron Centre for Engineering Excellence, a landmark donation from alumnus Victor Phillip Dahdaleh that launched The Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health, and the Government of Ontario鈥檚 decision to support the creation of a new 91亚色 campus in Markham Centre. 鈥淭hese forward-looking investments by our alumni and by government affirm that the world agrees with what we already know鈥攖hat 91亚色 is becoming a global leader in academic excellence and innovation, and that we are a community connected to what matters,鈥 said Shoukri.
Designed to complement the University鈥檚 character of being bold, diverse, creative and dynamic, the report showcases key research, teaching and community successes from the past year, from groundbreaking research projects across 91亚色鈥檚 11 Faculties and 25 research centres, to experiential and eLearning opportunities for our students.
鈥2015 was a year of tremendous achievement all across the University鈥攆rom SSHRC Impact awards for research on refugees and youth homelessness, to the CIS Men鈥檚 Soccer Championship and our hosting of the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am and Parapan Am Games in the new 91亚色 Lions Stadium, to the appointment of 15 91亚色 alumni to Canada鈥檚 Parliament in the fall,鈥 said Shoukri. 鈥91亚色鈥檚 impact is truly a collective effort, with our scholars and educators challenging our students to become leaders of tomorrow, our alumni enabling our success and supporting our vision, and our staff members helping us to achieve our strategic goals.鈥
